FAQs

Q?

What is Glycerin and what does in consist of?

A.

Glycerin is present in all natural fats & fatty oils as fatty acid esters (Triglycerides). Our Glycerin is made up of animal fats, water, lye and salt which are all natural ingredients. However some dog treats on the market consist of an artificial Glycerin. Lye is made from ash and water, the glycerine is then filtered to remove any impurity’s, this removes the moisture from the product and can give the dog a shiny coat.

Q?

What does Hypoallergenic mean?

A.

Unless your dog has had an allergic reaction you’ve probably never came across the word. Hypoallergenic food is simply food which is highly unlikely to cause an allergic reaction and because they’re so many dogs out there today with allergens we decided we must provide a range of hypoallergenic dog treats so every dog can enjoy Natural Choice Treats.

Q?

Why go grain free?

A.

Dogs are highly adapted to eat meat. Like all carnivores, they find it more difficult to digest grains. This is highlighted because they don’t have the enzyme called amylase in their saliva, which helps to break down these starchy carbohydrates.

We have eliminated all harmful grains from our treats to suit the needs of all dogs but in doing so we have increased the meat content so your dogs can get all the natural goodness they need to live a long and healthy life.

Grains such as corn, wheat and barley have been linked with canine allergies. With symptoms ranging from upset stomach to itchy/flaky coat. Even if your pet has no allergies these grains are significantly less digestible and have limited nutritional value when compared to meat, yet they are present in the majority of dog treats.

Q?

How much can i feed my dog a day?

A.

The feeding recommendations for Natural Choice Treats is 40 grams a day due to the high meat content but please make sure your supply an ample amount of water.

Q?

Do Natural Choice Treats contain undesirable ‘animal derivatives’ I.e. beaks and feathers?

A.

No, they does not. Unlike many other dog treats we do not conceal our ingredients by listing them in mysterious categories like “meat and animal derivatives” or “derivatives of vegetable origin”. We only use fresh meat of a human grade because we believe if its not good enough for us why would it be good enough for our dog?

Q?

I would like to become a stockist of your product how do i do this?

A.

If you are in the trade and would like to become a stockist please use our contact us form and we will happily supply you with login details so that you may log in and place orders. Please take your time to review our terms and conditions page.

Q?

A.

Absolutely not. Natural Choice Treats strive in producing a range of 100% natural healthy dog treats containing NO derivatives, preservatives, artificial colouring or flavouring like so many of the products on the market today.
